Samsung is preparing for a forthcoming Unpacked event on July 26, where it intends to introduce its newest foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. These state-of-the-art devices are also expected to be released in the Indian market, and recent leaks have provided information on their pricing details.
As per information leaked by tipster Paras Guglani, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to be priced starting at ₹95,000 in India, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is anticipated to have a starting price of ₹1,43,500. Additionally, recent leaks have indicated that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a base variant with 128GB storage, whereas the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will start with 256GB storage.
Regarding the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is rumored to feature a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 6.2-inch cover display with the same refresh rate. It might be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The rear camera setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel lens, and the front camera may feature a 5-megapixel under-display camera and a 10-megapixel shooter. For connectivity, the device is likely to offer NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C 3.2 port, nanoSIM, and eSIM support.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could come with a 3.4-inch HD cover display and a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED primary screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It might be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 8GB RAM, and up to 512GB internal storage. The battery capacity is rumored to be 3,700mAh, and the device is expected to run on an Android 13-based operating system. For connectivity, it may offer USB Type-C 3.2, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6E support.
