Samsung Galaxy S9 render shows a feature that is missing in iPhone X, Pixel 2 and others

We have already seen what Samsung’s upcoming DeX Pad accessory for the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ may look like. The device was leaked in a couple of images by popular handset tipster, Evan Blass . While one of the images showed the accessory, the second image showed the Galaxy S9 mounted on it. Although several users had something to say on the social media about the DeX Pad, some eagle-eyed users spotted a feature, which can be termed as ‘unique’ in flagship smartphones these days.

The second image showing the Galaxy S9 mounted on the DeX Pad, also shows the handset to sport a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you are aware of the current-gen flagships by companies, you may have noticed that this feature has been missing in them. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, Google Pixel 2, iPhone X, HTC U11 and many more have sacrificed the 3.5mm headphone jack in order to make their handsets slimmer.
But it looks like Samsung is not yet ready to make this sacrifice yet. The Galaxy S9, design-wise, is said to be the same as the Galaxy S8. Hence, the thickness of the device may also remain the same. The firm could be expecting users to forget about the thickness of the device for a while and appreciate how they have still kept the basic and most widely used features intact in its flagship smartphone. You can also find 3.5mm headphone jack in the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+.

Although Samsung gave a wired AKG earphone bundled along with the Galaxy S8 handsets last year, we are not yet sure if the case will remain the same this year as well. It may be possible that the South Korean tech firm may bundle a Bluetooth earphone along with the device.
