Samsung Galaxy S8 skins go on pre-order even before the smartphone’s launch

Samsung is yet to reveal its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphones, but online retailers and tipsters have already posted a whole bunch of information about the duo in the past few months, detailing everything from the smartphones’ design to third-party accessories.
Now, dbrand, a popular company that makes designer ‘skins’ for smartphones, has started taking pre-orders for the S8 and S8+ skins on its website.
The dbrand skins for Samsung Galaxy S8 are available in carbon fiber, leather, wood, metal and stone finishes, with prices ranging between $9.95 to $16.50.
The company is not only taking pre-orders, but has also mentioned a few lines for the handset itself. According to dbrand, the Galaxy S8 is ‘an engineering masterpiece’ and ‘an absolute fingerprint magnet’.
A render of the smartphone can also be seen on the dbrand website. It goes in line with previous leaks and rumours. Once again, the fingerprint sensor is visible at the back. The same render has been used for the Galaxy S8+, along with the same skin finishes and prices.
Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphones at its ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event, scheduled for March 29 in New York.
It has been already rumoured that the Galaxy S8 handset(s) will feature an iris scanner for an additional layer of security. However, a recent report from The Investor website claimed that the smartphone(s) will have facial recognition technology too. A Samsung official stated that the feature has been added because of the iris scanner’s speed and accuracy issues on the Galaxy S8.
