Samsung Galaxy S5 Permit Hackers To Steal Your Fingerprints

samsung-galaxResearchers claim that Samsung’s Galaxy S5 smartphone could potentially allow hackers to steal its users’ fingerprints. Security research firm FireEye have has claimed to have found a flaw in the fingerprint scanner of Samsung’s flagship device that could allow other people to breach into the so-called ‘trusted zone’ and misuse it.

While it is not easy to obtain biometric data from the trusted zone, but an attacker could get the data from your usage and generate the image of the fingerprint.

Yulong Zhang, researcher, FireEye explains that if the cyber criminal is able to break the Android kernel, he can read the fingerprint sensor at any time and every time you unlock or lock your device, the hacker can steal the fingerprint. Meanwhile, Samsung is investigating the claims made by FireEye and will resolve the issue, if it really finds the device vulnerable.
