Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date: Major Reason Why New Device Should Have modern Design

download (5)Samsung Electronics has been releasing flagship smartphones, one after another and flooding the market with them, but it has received flak for the lack of innovation in its design. The smartphone maker’s upcoming device, Galaxy Note 4 should come with a Fresh design, as gadget lovers are bored of its predictable looks.

The South Korean electronics giant disappointed its fans with the recently released Galaxy S5 after it failed to include several speculated features. The device was expected to have a new look since Galaxy S3 was the last device that came with a major design change but fans saw only a facelift.

The company popularized big screen devices through its Note series, but it hasn’t brought any big change when it comes to looks. So, fans could be left disappointed if Galaxy Note 4 comes with a facelift like in the past.

According to speculations that have been doing the rounds for quite a while now, the next-generation device from Note series is expected to feature curved OLED and flexible display.

The Korea Times has reported that Samsung will release two models of Galaxy Note 4 – one with a curved OLED display and the other with a flat OLED display.

“Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 4 phablet, UHD OLED TVs, a Google Glass rival, and home appliances at the upcoming IFA,” a senior executive at a Samsung’s top local suppliers told the daily.

According to Tech Radar, Lee Younghee, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business, told the Wall Street Journal that the company is thinking of a flexible display for the next generation device.

It will come as a welcomed change if Note 4 features a curved OLED or flexible display, but it has to be seen if the company will bring about the much-needed change.

Galaxy Note 4 may sport a 5.7-inch super Amoled display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution (500+ppi) screen and powered by Quad Core Snapdragon 805 processor that clocks 2.5GHz, runs on either Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS or Android 4.5 Lollypop and houses a 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. According to AnTuTu benchmark listings, Samsung may release two versions of Galaxy Note 4, one to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 that features Krait 450 (300MHz-2457MHz) CPU and Adreno 420 GPU, and the other with Exynos 5433 8 Core processor that has ARM Mali-T760 GPU.

There are conflicting reports on the camera of the device. Samsung4Note website reported that the Note 4 may have a 16MP rear camera with ISOCELL technology, 4K video recording and a 2MP front camera with 1080p video recording and S-Pen stylus with updated gestures and air command. AnTuTu benchmark listings also hinted that the device might have a 16MP rear and a 3.6MP front snapper, contradicting reports by G4Games (via ETNews) that it might come with a 12MP camera with OIS.

Samsung is expected to release the next-generation device in a couple of months’ time. Android Geeks has reported, citing an insider that the device would be unveiled on 3 September and the invitation to the Unpacked event would be sent out in mid-August. According to The Korea Times, the device would be unveiled at the upcoming annual IFA trade fair in Berlin, Germany to be held between 5-10 September.
