Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) with Android 7.0 Nougat spotted online

56600284Along with the upcoming Galaxy S8 flagship, it seems that Samsung is also focussing on its budget J series. A new Samsung smartphone, going by the moniker SM-J727P, has shown up on GeekBench certification website. The handset is rumoured to be the Galaxy J7 (2017). The listing also provides some information about the handset’s specifications. According to the info on GeekBench, Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) will run Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The handset will also be reportedly powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM. For those unaware, Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 (2016) in May last year. So it’s possible it could follow the same timeframe for the J7 (2017). Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) comes with an octa-core Exynos chipset paired with 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Some other specifications of the Galaxy J7 (2016) include a 5.5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution, 16GB internal storage, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing shooter and a 3,300mAh battery. On a related note, the company may also launch its Galaxy C9 Pro smartphone in India soon.
If a new report from SamMobile website is to be believed, the handset may launch in India on January 18. For those unaware, Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is already available for purchase in China and other selected countries. It’s been mentioned that the price of the C9 Pro may be more than that of the Galaxy A9 Pro, which bears a price tag of Rs 32,490.
Samsung announced Galaxy C9 Pro in China, back in October last year. The device is one of the first Samsung Galaxy smartphones to come with 6GB of RAM. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC.
