Samsung Announces Mid Range Galaxy Core Smartphone

Logo_samsung_5South Korean smartphone maker, Samsung has added the Galaxy Core Advance smartphones to its arsenal. The Android-based smartphone is expected to be priced at around Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000 and is going to be available for customers soon. The device is expected to go on sale all around the world in early 2014. The Galaxy Core Advance holds physical navigation buttons and a soft touch back cover.

The device has an 11.9-cm (4.7-inch) WVGA display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. In addition, the smartphone carries a 5 mega pixel rear camera along with a 0.3 mega pixel (VGA) front camera. It runs on a 2,000 mAh battery and has the usual set of connectivity options.

The physical buttons on this smartphone include the navigation keys and keys for the voice recorder and camera along with it. Moreover, the company has reportedly also added some software tweaks, which were till now native to the Galaxy S series of smartphones. These tweaks include S Translator, S Voice, Sound & Shot, Group Play and Easy Mode.

From its features, the Galaxy Core Advance seems to be somewhere in the mid range segment of smartphones.
