RS Components, the world’s largest distributor of electronic, electrical and maintenance products recently organized a Round table Conference in Bengaluru. Mr. Eric Lee, Head of Regional Technical Marketing, Asia Pacific, RS Components and Mr. Ajay Gupta, Chief Operating Officer, RS Components, India addressed the media on the new and successful launch of their 3D software, DesignSpark Mechanical. This free, fast and intuitive 3D design software has been co-developed by RS and SpaceClaim, and is based on the Direct Modelling technique
Mr. Eric Lee said, “DesignSpark Mechanical 3D software is very easy-to-use & will bring major benefits to design engineers around the world. . Not only is DesignSpark Mechanical free, its simplicity of use means that engineers and others involved in product development can become fully conversant with the software within minutes, rather than the weeks or months required to become skilled with traditional 3D CAD tools. It is available in multiple languages and is a significant step in the evolution of the DesignSpark online resource hub for the engineering community.’
With access to more than 38,000 3D models in the extensive DesignSpark online component library, DesignSpark Mechanical gives all engineers the ability to rapidly undertake an end-to-end design with professional-grade modelling tools that are at zero cost. Since its release on DesignSpark.com on 16 September more than 41,000 visitors to the site have downloaded DesignSpark Mechanical.
The company also highlighted many other free tools and resources (DesignSpark PCB design tool, 3D modeling, Model Source) it offers to save time and money for engineers, available for download from website designspark.com. itvoice
