New Delhi, India, 30th January 2013 – RockASAP Retail Pvt. Limited today announced its tie up with leading publishers of the country to enhance eBook Collection at Rockstand. As per the contract with the publishers, Rockstand has now an access to their entire book collection and thus it can sell e-book version of their books on its platform for the readers.
Speaking about the tie up Mr Rishi Mohan Jha, Head, RockASAP Retail Pvt Limited said that “We are pleased to announce the tie ups with some of the esteemed publishers of our country. With this contract Rockstand have now added more than 1000 books from these publishers to its existing stock of 2 million books. These books include books in English, Hindi and various regional languages. Some of the famous titles include Chacha Chaudhary, Billoo and Pinki by Diamond Comics, famous novel titled Tamas by Bhisma Sahini by Rajkamal Prakashan along few other titles like Bhagat Singh Ko Fansi, Chitralekha etc. Under Katha some famous titles includes Ambai: Two novellas and a story, Forsaking Paradise and The Essence of Camphor. Under OM Books, Rockstand have various titles such as Housefull: The Golden Age of Indian Cinema, Shahrukh Can and one of the recently launched books “The Adventures of an intrepid film critic” in digital edition which is exclusively available on Rockstand. These titles have been uploaded and are live on Rockstand.
Cost of these books is very competitive like the famous comic Chacha Chaudhary is available as low as Rs 10 on Rockstand.
Further to this, to promote budding writers and authors, Rockstand is running a contest ‘My First Book at Rockstand’ where selective winners will get attractive prizes and will be promoted by Rockstand. Apart from these additions Rockstand at its platform will do a digital book launch during the coming World Book Fair in Delhi on Indian Flag titled “All about the Flag of India” authored by Cdr. KV Singh and published by Times Group Books. The book traces the history of the National Flag from pre-independence days and throws light on the significance of the three colours used in the Tiranga and their relevance in India’s history and culture. The book also lists out all the amendments made in the Flag Code of India and the relevant Acts.
