REIL has proposed to set up a solar panel manufacturing in Andhra Pradesh!

Andhra Pradesh is getting well prepared to enter in an agreement with Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Ltd, in order to procure additional power requirement of 1040 MW from June, 2015 to May, 2016.

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Ltd (REIL) has proposed to set up a solar panel manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh. While talking about it, Ajay Jain, Andhra Pradesh energy secretary informed about the meeting, which is planned to be held soon between high-level delegation, involving, REIL Chairman Veenu Gupta and Managing Director A K Jain with AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for discussing the modalities of setting up the plant.

solarPower_ITVoiceA K Jain said that the proposed project would even help the state to generate additional employment. Energy Department officials noted that the AP is getting well prepared to enter the agreement in order to procure additional power requirement of 1040 MW from June, 2015 to May, 2016.

Meanwhile, Naidu has scheduled the inauguration of distribution of LED lamps at Vinukonda and Nagaram in Guntur district. The scheme had proposed over 2.2 million LED bulbs for distribution to 1.1 million domestic consumers in the district. As per the state government, AP has around 16,000 acres of land prepared for establishing solar parks of 2,500 MW.
