Realme claims that its 240W fast charging in the GT3 is here to disrupt the smartphone industry

At the Mobile World Congress in 2023, Realme claimed to be the leader in the smartphone business with its 240W fast charging technology, which will be available in all markets starting on February 28th with the GT3.

According to Counterpoint’s analysis, realme is maintaining its “Dare to jump” philosophy by developing cutting-edge fast-charging technologies. The firm also shared a video that demonstrates how to charge a phone with a 4600mAh battery from 0% to 20% in just 80 seconds, 50% in just 4 minutes, and 100% in just 9 minutes and 30 seconds. According to Counterpoint research, realme will be the only manufacturer to offer 65W rapid charging in sub-$150 smartphones in 2020 with the realme Narzo 20 Pro, which will retail for less than $150.

It also states that by 2022, the company will have fast charging capabilities and will have a market-leading 85% sales penetration of the $100–$149 smartphone portfolio. This carries on realme’s lengthy tradition of providing cutting-edge technology at affordable prices and inspiring the smartphone industry to adopt it.

In the mid-high to entry-premium market ($250–$599) for 65W capable smartphones in 2022, realme was placed second. This suggests that realme also offers cutting-edge technologies at more expensive price ranges. The 240W value reflects the most advanced rapid charging technology currently used in the market.

With more than 100W capable charging technology that can reach full charge in 20–25 minutes, the power-delivering capacity increase has greatly decreased the charging time. With its most recent, 240W power output, realme is pushing the boundaries of rapid charging.

Realme was able to add 65W charging technology to the realme X7 in 2020. The realme GT Neo3 had the fastest 150W charging technology in the world when it launched in 2022, and the realme GT3 will introduce 240W charging technology to the market worldwide this year.

Commenting on the research Madhav Sheth – CEO realme India, VP, realme, and President, realme International Business Group said, “realme has always been at the forefront of bringing out-of-the-box innovations and leap-forward technology to the users. With the 240W fast charging smartphone, realme proves that we can do more than that by being top player in industry in terms of fast-charging technology and penetration rate in all segments.”
