Polymatech Showcases Cutting-Edge Innovations at SEMICON India 2023

Polymatech Electronics, India’s sole semiconductor chip manufacturer, participates in the second edition of ‘SemiconIndia 2023’ in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The exhibition brought together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts, providing an excellent platform for Polymatech to showcase its latest technological advancements and engage with potential partners, customers, and stakeholders.

Polymatech, amongst the other companies’ exhibition stalls, was visited by the Honourable Prime Minister. This serves as a testament to Polymatech’s unwavering dedication to driving technological progress in India. With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and a team of highly skilled engineers, the company continues to develop cutting-edge opto semiconductor solutions that cater to various industries, including, automotive, consumer electronics, telecommunications, Healthcare and beyond.

The event provided Polymatech with an invaluable platform to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new connections with key industry stakeholders.

Speaking about the development, Eswara Rao Nandam, Founding President of Polymatech said, “We are excited to be part of SEMICON India 2023 and to have the opportunity to present our innovations to the semiconductor community. Polymatech is investing $1 billion in semiconductor chip manufacturing. It aims to become one of the largest chip manufacturers in Asia by 2025, with a projected revenue of $12 billion by 2030. Specialising in Opto-semiconductors, the company currently fabricates 1 million chips daily at its main manufacturing plant in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. And it is augmenting to manufacture 10 billion chips annually in CY 2023. Photonics are used in all the technologies that use, produce or modify light. Polymatech has revolutionised its offerings in optical communication, quantum computing and industrial measuring devices. 

Two more facilities of Polymatech are being set up to bolster the production capacity. The first plant at Oragadam, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu has a state-of-the-art facility, equipped with machinery imported from Japan and the adoption of a full-fledged Industry 4.0 theme. The company is also working on forward and backward integration of current products and localisation of manufactured products.
