POCO F5 Pro to Launch Soon in India: Expected to Compete with Mi 11X and OnePlus 9R

POCO, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has launched the POCO F5 smartphone in India. The phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and 67W fast charging support. The company has also launched the POCO F5 Pro globally, which is believed to be a rebrand of the Redmi K60. However, only the vanilla model has made its way to the Indian market, which is a rebadge of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

The POCO F5 features a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, a fingerprint sensor for security, and triple camera sensors on the back. The 120Hz AMOLED display is a highlight of the phone, providing a smooth and responsive experience. The phone also features a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, which can charge the phone from 0% to 100% in just 36 minutes.

The POCO F5 is priced at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB/256GB model and Rs 33,999 for the 12GB/256GB model. The phone comes in Electric Blue, Snowstorm White, and Carbon Black colours. Customers buying the phone with an ICICI Card can avail a Rs 3,000 instant discount or exchange bonus of Rs 3,000. Current POCO phone users can also get an additional Rs 1,000 exchange bonus. The company is offering 2 years of warranty on the phone.

The POCO F5 will be available exclusively via Flipkart, and the first sale is on May 16th at 12 noon IST. The phone is expected to compete with other mid-range smartphones such as the OnePlus Nord, Samsung Galaxy A52, and Realme X7 Pro.

The POCO F5 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. It comes in two storage options – 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. The phone features a triple camera setup on the back, with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone also features a 16MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 4,520mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

The POCO F5 Pro is expected to launch in India soon, and is believed to be priced at around Rs 23,000 for the base variant. It is expected to compete with other mid-range smartphones such as the Mi 11X, Realme GT Neo, and the OnePlus 9R.

In conclusion, the POCO F5 offers a great combination of features at an affordable price point. The 120Hz AMOLED display, 67W fast charging support, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset make it a compelling option for those looking for a mid-range smartphone. However, the competition in this segment is fierce, and it remains to be seen how well the POCO F5 performs in the market.
