In an exclusive interview with ITVoice, Mr Sanjay Joshi,  Country Manager (India & Sub Continent) at Edimax Technology., reveals his strategies forbusiness in India.

Vikas Gupta :-  How is Edimax looking ahead for the year 2016?

Mr.Sanjay Joshi :- Coming 2016, we are completing 30 years in this industry. Our continuous drive ininnovation has resulted in consistently diverse offerings & award-winning products. With aglobal service and support network, a solid commitment to reliability and performance, it’sa natural step moving to business solutions and grows with our partners. We will lookforward to move the shift toward Smart SOHO and SMB, Enterprise vertical in 2016. We willfocus more on EDIMAX PRO and start generating revenue by following value based solutionbusiness model. We are introducing niche product line into Indian market which willinclude smart life, IOT and BYOD Solution requirements. Strategically, 11AC Enterpriseproduct portfolio will be the main growth trajectory for us in coming years.

Vikas Gupta :-  What sort of networking solutions Edimax is providing to SMB?

Mr.Sanjay Joshi :- SMB/SMEs and enterprise is playing a huge role for the growth of networking market, wecan see big opportunities coming ahead as customers are getting educated and demandingsolutions catering to their requirement with performance, reliability, warranty and post sales.

Vikas Gupta :-  Please share some details about Edimax ‘s channel policies and partners in India?

Mr.Sanjay Joshi :- We are in process of adding VALUE ADDED DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL for Edimax Pro and dedicated strong partner networks to grow existing IT Retails channel & online business. Our focus is majorly on Edimax Pro while keeping the same momentum on SOHO range. I see a huge vacuum and potential to grow business with the newly announced Edimax Pro portfolio across the verticals. We are also restructuring the existing manpower and will take effect before Q4’2015. Starting Jan 2016, we are investing more in adding people, participating in exhibitions and empowering our partners by different activities by conducting training programs, seminars and certification programs. This will result in overall business growth of the company.Recently, we have added New TOLL FREE with door step RMA services offering for SoHo/consumer product portfolio which will create confidence among IT retail partner and end customers.

Vikas Gupta :-  What is your vision for next five years in India?

Mr.Sanjay Joshi :- We are planning 3 to 5-year strategy and roadmap based on worldwide market feedback. We co-operate with chipset and industrial leading companies to maintain our competitiveness and deliver the best solutions to market.

Vikas Gupta :-  What is the strategy of the company to motivate its channel partners? Any schemes, promotions and incentives that you would want to share with the channel in particular?

Mr.Sanjay Joshi :- We believe in channel education and empowerment. Coming year, we have planned for huge investment specifically for channel segment. Partners can expect more active programs from Edimax and together we anticipate overall business growth of the company

Vikas Gupta :-  What are some of the biggest selling products for Edimax in India for the year 2015? Any prediction for the year 2016?

Mr.Sanjay Joshi :- Prediction based on business strategy & year 2016 plan road map, 11AC Enterprise product portfolio will be the main growth trajectory for us in coming years adding more & more industry solution products, sharing a little on road map, we have plans to launch a wide range of Giga PoE managed switches, Enterprise outdoor/indoor MESH AP’s starting from AC1200 ~ AC4300, AP controllers with clustering & cloud. Q4,2015, we have upgraded smart inbuilt AP NMS controller features from 1+8 AP NMS to 1+16 AP NMS controller without investing on expensive hardware controller. Highest sales contributed by SoHo product portfolio (BR Series Router, WLAN USB Adaptor, ADSL2/2+ Modem Routers, 10/100 & Giga Switches, Power Line Adaptor) including Govt & corporate enterprise segment projects winning by year 2015. Focusing SoHo networking products and creating base for Edimax PRO product line was set goals for the year 2015 and fairly achieved.

Vikas Gupta :-  Is company planning to come up with any new technology or plans under its R&D?

Mr.Sanjay Joshi :- Yes, it’s a part of constant practices by Edimax to invest on R&D resources, introduce new technology products to global market. Year 2016 is going to be a surprise year by announcing new technology & featured product with special application celebrating 30th anniversary.
