Rajdip Gupta is the Co-founder & CEO of Route Mobile Limited. An early mobile and telecom enthusiast who pioneered hand-held device applications in the late 90’s. He is a visionary with a strong technical background. With more than 16 years of experience working for multinationals across the globe like MBT, AIS Comp USA, Gurukul Online and IBBBM UK, Rajdeep brings with him extensive knowledge in software life cycle and implementation strategy. Being from an IT industry, he identified an opportunity in the mobile telecom space. It was then Rajdip along with his older brother Sandip Gupta, introduced Route Mobile in May 2004 to cater to the global text messaging market. Today, under Rajdip’s leadership, the company is among the top aggregators in global A2P (application-to-person) text messaging market, employs close to 350 people and has offices in Asia Pacific, Africa, Middle East, Europe and the Americas. As the VoIP market expands, Rajdip has also led the company’s foray into voice APIs for various applications including messaging apps (Viber, Skype), call centre applications, calling card solutions etc.
Major acquisitions by the company:
•In September 2016, Route Mobile acquired Cellent Technologies who is part of the Goel Group and has a presence in the A2P messaging markets of the Middle East and Africa.
•In November 2016, Route Mobile acquired Defero Mobile, a Singaporean based mobile communications service provider with leading clients in the APAC region.
•In May 2017, Route Mobile acquired Call 2 Connect (from Arabi Holding Group K.S.C), an acclaimed ITES provider.
•In October 2017, Route Mobile acquired 365squared – a premier European headquartered SMS Monetisation Value Added Services brand.
As a way forward strategy Route Mobile is concentrating its efforts and R&D in new technologies like – Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Block Chain and Chat Bots.
