Oracle Plans to Boost Up Cloud Team In India

Oracle will hire 1,000 sales professionals across Asia Pacific, with close to 300 will be specialized sales force for cloud will be recruit in India.

This extension will help the company to drive growth and support demand for Oracle Cloud solutions across the region.

Oracle’s recruitment efforts will primarily focus on growth in Australia, China, India, Korea, and the ASEAN countries; however, there are roles being created across the region.

In the third quarter, Oracle’s global revenue from cloud SaaS and PaaS grew 30 per cent to $372 million. He said that Oracle wants to hire 300 cloud sales employees as soon as possible, but is constrained by the availability of trained talent.

As India is leading growth in APAC, Kumar believes that 30 per cent of our cloud sales hiring will be in the country.

According to management consulting firm Zinnov, the cloud computing market within India is expected to reach $1.08 billion this year.
