Oppo Smart TV S1 Launched

Oppo Smart TV S1 and R1 have been recently rolled out and it has been titled as the company’s 1st smart TV models. Whether the tv is structured as a premium model with features comprising of up to 120Hz display and floating design, and for video calls, it also features a pop-up camera. The Smart TV R1 is a more typical option for buyers and comes in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes. Additionally, both the smart TVs come with branded the ColorOS TV operating system that is based on Android.

The Oppo Smart TV S1 price has been priced in China at approx. 8k Chinese Yen, while the R1 carries a price tag of approx. 3.3k Chinese Yen for the 55-inch model and approx. 4.3k Chinese Yen for the 65-inch model. The latest smart TVs are presently available for purchase in China. Nevertheless, there is no official information about the introduction of the Oppo Smart TV models in international markets.

S1 specifications
The S1 features a 4K QLED Quantum Dot display of 65-inch with a pixel resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 with an ultra-wide NTSC color gamut of 120% and 1500 nits of peak brightness. The display also carries a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and it is TUV Rheinland certified and it too supports Dolby Vision. Under the hood, the Television comes with a quad-core MediaTek MT9950 SoC, which is coupled with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and a RAM of 8.5GB. The company has further provided its custom sound system on it that brings a total of 18 speakers that contains a subwoofer of 25-watts, providing 85-watts of total output. There is too Dolby Atmos’ support.

The company has provided onboard storage of 128GB. The Television also extends the display for a better 3-D visual experience of 1.86mm. The firm calls it the floating design. There is also the full-HD pop-up camera of 1080 pixels. Additionally, it will arrive with a Breeno voice assistant.

Connectivity options comprised of Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth v5.1 and an AV input, an optical digital audio output, Ethernet, HDMI 2.0, 2 HDMI of version 2.1, and 2 USB of version 3.0. Furthermore, the smart TV arrives with a 1-key NFC screen projection. It also has a bundled, Bluetooth voice remote control.

R1 specifications
Unlike S1, R1 arrives in 55- and 65-inch screen variants that both have a 4K LCD with a pixel resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 and 93% of DCI-P3 color gamut and a refresh rate of 60Hz.
The 55-inch model provides a peak brightness of 250nits, whereas its 65-inch variant arrives with a peak brightness of 300nits. The R1 variant is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT9652 SoC, paired with MediaTek MT9652 SoC, paired with Mali-G52 MC1 GPU and a RAM of 2GB. The TV also arrives with a non-compulsory external camera of 1080p HD to start video chats.

If we talk about speakers, there are 2 units with a total output rated 20-Watts. The TV also carries support from Dolby Audio. There is an onboard storage of 32GB.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5 along with an AV input, digital audio (optical) output, Ethernet, 3 HDMI 2.1, and 2 USB 2.0 ports. It will also provide a bundled Bluetooth remote control along with support for the Breeno voice assistant.
