Oppo A83 smartphone with full screen display, face unlock launched in China

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has expanded its product portfolio of mid-range smartphones with the launch of A83 in China. The company has priced the Oppo A83 for 1399 yuan and the smartphone will come in Champagne Gold and Black colour options. The device will go on sale from December 29 in China.
The Oppo A83 sports a 5.7-inch HD+ full screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 720×1440 pixel resolution. The smartphone runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core processor. The device offers 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage up to 128GB by adding a microSD card.
The smartphone comes with dual SIM functionality and sports a 13MP rear camera LED flash and an 8MP front facing camera for selfies. Just like the Oppo F5, users can also use the front camera to unlock the smartphone. Measuring 150.5 x 73.1 x 7.7mm, the smartphone is backed by a 3180mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Oppo recently launched its A75 and A75s smartphone in Taiwan. Both the smartphone come with a bezel-less display and sports similar specifications apart from the storage capacity. The Oppo A75 comes with 32GB internal storage, while the Oppo A75s offers 64GB inbuilt storage.
Both the devices are powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P23 (MT6763T) processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphones run Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and feature a -inch full HD+ display with 1080×2160 pixels resolution.
Measuring 156.5x76x7.5mm, the devices house a 3200mAh battery. The smartphone weighs 152 grams and come with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The duo comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and a 20 MP front shooter for selfies.
