OnlySSD Launches 3D Vertical NAND Flash Memory SSD & Samsung SSD 850 PRO In India

abgb gulbir bhatiaONLYSSD.com announced the launch of Samsung 85 PRO – World’s First 3D Vertical NAND flash memory enabled SSD. A new solid state drive (SSD) line-up featuring Samsung’s cutting-edge three-dimensional (3D) vertical NAND (V-NAND) flash memory technology. This new SSD offers a new era of performance for solid state drives.

Samsung’s flash memory is fabricated using an innovative 3D V-NAND architecture, which stacks 32 cell layers on top of one another rather than trying to decrease the cells’ length and width to fit today’s shrinking form factors. Samsung’s V-NAND features a proprietary vertical cell structure and represents a breakthrough in overcoming the density limit currently facing planar NAND architecture used in conventional flash memory, yielding significant speed, endurance and energy efficiency improvements. When in Rapid Mode, user can enhance performance by processing data on a system level using free PC memory (DRAM) as a cache, providing 1.8 times faster performance in the RAPID mode*.

Gulbir Bhatia, Managing Director at OnlySSD.com said, “Samsung SSD 850 Pro is the fastest and high performance consumer SATA SSD which user can buy in present market. Encompassed with the advanced V-NAND technology, remarkable after sale service offered and the massive 10 years of warranty which no other brand offers in consumer drive will make this SSD rule the market.”

With twice the endurance of 840 PRO, the 850 PRO will keep working as long as user wishes. Samsung’s V-NAND technology is built to handle 150 Terabytes Written (TBW) which equates to a 40GB daily read/write workload over a 10-year period along with the ten year limited warranty. The efficient, power management components in the 850 PRO enable the user to work longer and more productively. Boasting the lowest power consumption of any SSD when in full use, the 850 PRO expends less energy while maintaining industry-leading performance. The 850 PRO fully supports the sleep mode on the Ultrabook, consuming only 2 m watts of power.
