OnePlus Open to Debut in India on October 19

OnePlus is all set to launch its first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open, in India on October 19th. This announcement follows various rumors and leaks surrounding the device. OnePlus chose the name “Open” to not only represent the new foldable form factor but also its receptiveness to exploring fresh possibilities and potentials within the smartphone industry.

Under the tagline “Open for Everything,” OnePlus emphasizes its commitment to embracing all possibilities and continuously searching for new opportunities in the ever-evolving smartphone market, guided by an open-minded approach.

The company’s founder has already disclosed that the OnePlus Open incorporates 31 fewer components, which makes it lighter, and it is 37% smaller compared to the OPPO Find N2, a similar device. Based on earlier speculations, the phone is expected to have a price tag of $1,699 (approximately Rs. 1,41,405), positioning it as a slightly more affordable option compared to the Galaxy Z Fold5. The exact price for the Indian market will be revealed when the phone is officially launched next week.

OnePlus is also offering a pre-reserve pass for Rs. 5,000, providing an exclusive invitation to attend the OnePlus Open Global Launch Event and the opportunity to purchase the phone before anyone else during the event. Additionally, buyers who obtain this pass will receive a complimentary pair of OnePlus Buds Pro 2 when purchasing the OnePlus Open at the event venue or through oneplus.in or the OnePlus Store app once pre-orders become available.
