OnePlus 6 with under-display fingerprint sensor could be launched in March 2018

It’s been barely over a month since OnePlus unveiled its latest smartphone, the OnePlus and rumours of its next flagship have begun circulating. According to a report in GizmoChina.com, the OnePlus 6 could see the light of the day in March 2018. This will be a shift in the launch pattern for the brand as it traditionally launches a phone in June.
The device – in all likelihood to be called OnePlus 6 – will feature an under-display fingerprint sensor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The relocation of fingerprint sensor is quite possible as OnePlus has been shifting it in previous two smartphones. With the OnePlus 5T, the brand shifted the fingerprint sensor from front to back.
Both Qualcomm and Snaptics are reportedly working on under-display fingerprint sensor and it is rumoured that even Samsung and Vivo phones might feature the technology. And now, even OnePlus is reportedly joining the ranks. OnePlus 5T already has the facial recognition feature and thin bezels. It looks like 2018 will see a lot of smartphone brands going for the under-display fingerprint sensor.
As far as OnePlus 6 is concerned, no other specifications about the OnePlus 6 have been revealed as of now. However, we can expect incremental changes to the OnePlus 5T.
The OnePlus 5T has a 6-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and automatically adapts to suit the surrounding lighting conditions. Starting at price point of Rs 32,999, the OnePlus 5T comes with up to 8GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
OnePlus recently announced that the OnePlus 5 would soon be getting the face unlock feature. Carl Pei, co-founder, OnePlus tweeted, “Due to popular demand, Face Unlock is coming for the OnePlus 5. Thanks for the feedback, and merry Christmas!”
OnePlus 5T is essentially a bigger version of OnePlus 5 with some minor changes at the back and under-the-hood.
