While we have been hearing rumours for the next OnePlus One, the OnePlus 2 since past few months alongside its cheaper version, a report now confirms the existence of both the handsets along with their approximate launch time-frame.

A Bloomberg video report following the publications visit to the firm’s headquarters tips the two smartphones and their launch time-frame.

OnePlus, in line with an earlier company statement in September last year, will be launching its OnePlus 2 smartphone in Q3 of this year as per the report. Its cheaper version, which the company co-founder Carl Pei mentioned in January will cater “to a different type of audience. Perhaps for those who appreciate design over specs,” will arrive towards the end of this year.

The report also claims that OnePlus aims to sell between 3 and 5 million smartphones in 2015, and 10 million in 2016.

It adds that as per Canalys, company’s biggest market for now is Europe and North America (52 percent) followed by East Asia (39 percent) and India (7 percent). Also, India is the Chinese smartphone maker’s “next big focus.”

Other recent reports indicate the OnePlus 2 smartphone will sport a metal frame, which is likely to replace the polycarbonate build of the ‘2014 flagship killer’ One smartphone. A Business Insider report claims that due to use of a metal frame, the pricing of the OnePlus 2 will be higher than that of the One which was launched in April last year at a starting price of $299 (unlocked and without contract) for the 16GB model. The sources however mentioned that the firm’s plans are yet to be finalised.

Pei last month revealed that his company is gearing up to enter a new product category this month. He added that the new product is neither a smartwatch nor a tablet leaving everyone to guess the next OnePlus product – though Pei may have been talking about the ‘GameChanger’ DR-1 Drone the company unveiled as a April Fools’ Day prank.
