IT Voice News : Home grown manufacturer iBall is on a launching spree of late. The company is coming out with new devices every other day. Also, there has been a sudden influx of octa-core devices into the market lately with domestic manufacturers stepping up the ante against majors such as Samsung, Apple etc. Quite in line with the times, iBall has now come out with a new octa-core device, the Andi 5K Panther in the Indian market. The company has managed to price the device strategically at Rs 10,499 for the budget user.

It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. It comes with 8GB inbuilt storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot. Connectivity options include: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and 3G. It decks in a 1,900mAh battery.
At this price and range of specifications, the iBall Andi 5K Panther competes directly with devices like Obi Octopus S520 (Rs 11,990), Wickedleak Wammy Neo Youth (Rs 8,490) among others. It must be notd that HTC recently launched its own octa-core smartphone, the Desire 616 Dual SIM, at slightly higher Rs 16,900 price range.
