Nykaa, India’s leading beauty retailer, saw a 10X growth in luxury beauty sales as compared to last year, proving to be the highest growth category for the retailer. This increase in sales comes with the introduction of leading luxury beauty brands like M.A.C Cosmetics, Clinique, Estée Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox Cosmetics and GLAMGLOW in the last year. Nykaa also offers an extensive collection of luxury fragrances with brands like Giorgio Armani, Lancôme, Roberto Cavalli, Yves Saint Laurent among others.
Through the past year, luxury sales have grown to account for 15% of total revenue, confirming the premiumization of customer’s choices. The luxury offering is available on the Nykaa Luxe section of Nykaa.com which offers a specialized experience both in design and content. Keeping with Nykaa’s omni-channel strategy to be available at every touch point for customers, the luxury offer is also available offline at Nykaa Luxe stores in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The Jaipur event will also see the preview of the #BreakTheHashtagfilm featuring Bollywood actress TaapseePannu. The campaign has previously featured actress Soha Ali Khan.
The high tea event was co-hosted with Tribe Amrapali, the iconic jewellery brand known for its Indian heritage inspired contemporary designs. Primarily in silver, gold-plated silver and fashion jewellery, Tribe Amrapali consists of jewellery which is beautiful yet eclectic, rooted yet modern, playful yet refined, Indian yet unique.
Since its launch in 2012, Nykaa has seen a strong growth in the beauty vertical with a current run rate of 600 crores offering over 700 brands and 80,000 products with a path to profitability by 2017.
