New updates are being rolled out for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5, and Galaxy Watch 5

Samsung is progressively deploying updates encompassing fresh features and security enhancements for both new and existing smartphones and smartwatches. The tech giant is currently introducing OneUI 5.1.1 to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5 is gaining the August 2023 Security Patch. Additionally, the Galaxy Watch 5 is undergoing an update to OneUI 5.1. Although these updates are presently limited to specific regions, they are set to become globally accessible within the next few weeks.

For the US variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the new update featuring the August 2023 Security Patch arrives via firmware F731USQS1AWH3, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 US variant receives it through firmware F946USQS1AWH3. This security-focused update comprises fixes for 74 security vulnerabilities, and its global counterparts have already received the update.

The OneUI 5.1.1 version, tailored by Samsung for its foldable devices like the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 5, is now making its way to previous iterations such as the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 3, as well as other tablets. The rollout of this update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has commenced in some European countries, marked by firmware version F936BXXU4DWH5, which occupies 2.76GB in size.

Among the notable enhancements introduced by OneUI 5.1.1 are an improved Taskbar and Recent Apps to elevate multitasking, the ability to temporarily conceal pop-up windows, refined Media Controls for foldable devices, enhancements to Quick Share and Private Share for more seamless and secure file transfers, improved file management capabilities, an enhanced Font Collection for lock screen widgets, and an array of improvements to Samsung Health features.

Furthermore, a significant update, OneUI 5.0 Watch based on WearOS 4, is being rolled out for the Galaxy Watch 5.
