New POCO phone launch teased in India, could be POCO M6 Pro 5G

POCO India is preparing to introduce a new smartphone with a model number starting with 6. The brand has been quite active this year, launching multiple phones like POCO C50, C51, C55, X5, X5 Pro, and F5 in the country. Now, the head of POCO India, Himanshu Tandon, has announced that they are done with the 5-numbered series and hinted at the launch of a 6-numbered phone in a Twitter post.
There are rumors that the Redmi Note 12R might be rebranded as POCO M6 Pro 5G for the Indian market, based on information from tipster Kacper Skrzypek. The Redmi Note 12R is expected to come with a 6.79-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, a Snapdragon 4 Gen2 processor with Adreno GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of expandable storage. It will run on Android 13-based MIUI 14. The camera setup is rumored to include a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a 5MP front-facing camera. The phone will have a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and 5G connectivity.
The POCO M6 Pro 5G is likely to be available in Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Sky Illusion color options. However, the official details and confirmation are yet to be revealed by POCO India.
