unnamedA platform created for India’s hardcore PC enthusiasts and power users. ADATA XPG RAM and SSD were two of the components helped HiCookie to achieve a CPU-Z benchmark of 6.37 GHz, a new Indian record in this category. The event also featured an Overclocking competition among Power Users, and Lucky Draws by the three companies

ADATAยฎ Technology, a leading manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash application products, organized ‘Power Users Meet’ at Mumbai along with other Premium Brands. This was a big day for India’s hardcore PC enthusiasts and power users who had gathered in Mumbai, as they witnessed a new Indian record being made in CPU-Z Overclocking (OC), by none other than HiCookie, holder and breaker of multiple OC world records.
OC is the practice of pushing a PC component to function faster than the manufactured clock frequency. This calls for a lot of practice, upgraded skills, dedication, and of course, a deep passion for the activity.

HiCookie demonstrating his fabled OC skills was the highlight of the PC enthusiasts’ meet, organized jointly by GIGABYTE Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd. (Motherboard Business Unit), CoolerMaster India, and ADATA India – all Taiwan-based companies and world leaders in their respective spheres of PC hardware.

Components that Helped Make the Record
Egged on by the Power Users present, HiCookie managed to achieve a CPU-Z benchmark of 6.37 GHz for processor and 3100GHz for a 2400GHz DDR4 DRAM, a new Indian record in both the categories. The record was made by HiCookie, using the GIGABYTE GA-X99-SOC Force motherboard with an Intelยฎ Coreโ„ข i7-5960X Processor Extreme Edition, with liquid nitrogen (LN2) for cooling. The other crucial components included ADATA XPG Z1 DDR4-2400 16GB RAM Kit, ADATA XPG SX910 512GB SSD, and Cooler Master V1200 Platinum PSU.

GA-X99-SOC Force, based on the Intel X99 Express chipset, is a part of the GIGABYTE X99 Overclocking series motherboards. Though it is specially designed for Overclocking, it retains all the vital features of any GIGABYTE X99 motherboard, such as SATA Express, 4 way CrossfireX/SLI, m2 sata and AMP-UP audio, along with a wide range of other mainstream attributes.

An Enlightening, Extreme Experience
Commenting on the Overclocking session, Suvojit Banerjee, who had come all the way from Kolkata to be a part of the event, said, “Overclocking is my passion and I consistently try to improve myself by practicing and enhancing my knowledge. Watching HiCookie in action was like finding a treasure trove full of tricks and tips to improve my OC skills.”

Endorsing Banerjee’s views Sushant Patil, another attendee, said, “There’s no doubt that watching HiCookie was an enlightening experience. But this meet also gave us PC enthusiasts an excellent platform to interact directly with three of the world’s leading PC component brands, and getting to know more about their products and technologies.”

Speaking on his experience in Overclocking in front of Indian spectators for the first time, HiCookie, who is also the Chief Overclocking Evangelist, GIGABYTE Motherboard Business Unit, said, “I was pleasantly surprised to see that Overclocking could generate so much interest in India. I am happy to get such an encouraging response from the invitees, especially on the basis of the inquisitive questions they were asking.”
