Following an unprecedented surge in attendance and immense interest from global tech exhibitors, the government has officially extended the India AI Impact Summit 2026. Originally slated to conclude on February 20, the landmark event at Bharat Mandapam will now run through February 21.
To accommodate the massive crowds, organizers have also pushed back the daily closing time from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM IST. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the “overwhelming response,” noting that over 3 lakh people have registered for the summit so far, with a significant majority being youth under the age of 30.
Updated Public Schedule
Visitors planning to attend should take note of the revised access rules:
-
February 19 (Thursday): The expo is closed to the general public to facilitate high-level diplomatic meetings and restricted sessions.
-
February 20 & 21 (Friday & Saturday): The summit is fully open to the public.
Global Participation and Vision
The summit, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 16, has become a focal point for international diplomacy. High-profile meetings involving global tech leaders like Sundar Pichai (Google) and Bill Gates (Microsoft) have underscored the event’s importance.
Representing delegates from 110 countries, the summit continues to drive innovation based on its “Three Sutras”—People, Planet, and Progress. While online registrations have been temporarily paused due to the venue reaching its onsite capacity, the extension ensures that more enthusiasts can experience the future of human-centric AI.
