Netgear launched its smart Wi-Fi router – R6400 AC1750. Priced at Rs 14,200, the new router comes with high power amplifiers and external antennas for better Wi-Fi performance, as well as 80% more range than its predecessors.
The router also supports remote network management via the Netgear Genie app. The company claims that the router can provide up to three times faster Wi-Fi access than similar devices with 802.11n technology, as well as more reliable streaming for home computers and Wi-Fi enabled mobile devices. The R6400 AC1750 is compatible with next-generation Wi-Fi devices and also backward compatible with 802.11 a/b/g/n devices.
Users can also access home network, view real-time network map of all the connected devices, check bandwidth usage, block Wi-Fi devices, set up guest Wi-Fi and manage parental controls through the app.
The router comes with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and two USB ports. The USB ports enable wireless access to content stored on USB hard drives from any device in the home network. With Netgear’s ReadySHARE printing capability, users can wirelessly access and share USB printer too.
The company recently launched its Wi-Fi range extender EX6120 with streaming speeds of up to 1,200Mbps. NETGEAR EX6120 enables consumers to expand and improve Wi-Fi signal range throughout their home. It features 802.11ac technology which makes simultaneous use of dual 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands and also reduces interference.
