NCDEX Triples Performance Of Their Datacentre With Dell’s Servers

Dell, world’s fastest-growing large integrated IT Company, today Vishal Garkhel, Director & General Manager, Geo Head- West, Dell Indiaannounced that it has successfully deployed Dell PowerEdge Servers for National Commodities & Derivatives Exchange Ltd. (NCDEX). With the help of Dell’s servers the company was able to improve performance, reduce power consumption and minimise downtime.

NCDEX, the leading commodities and derivatives exchange, and the only one to have shareholders from national level institutions, large public sector bank and companies, needed to revamp their existing datacentre in order to meet the growing compute and storage requirements of the company. The company was looking for an efficient, scalable and robust infrastructure which would provide them with a long term solution to their problem.

The exchange deployed an end-to-end solution comprising of 2 Blade Chassis with 32 M620s blades, 5 PowerEdge R815 servers, 4 PowerEdge R720 servers, Networking Boq- 12 S4810 Switches TOR and 8 MXL Blade switches provided by Dell. The company chose Dell infrastructure as it was open, scalable and flexible, thus enabling the company to accommodate the data growth anticipated by the company in the future.

Dell’s solutions enabled NCDEX to improve the overall performance of their datacentre by 3 times, along with 30 % reduction in power consumption. The exchange was also able to minimise downtime due to support provided by Dell. The infrastructure provide was scalable with an ability to accommodate growth for the next 2- 3 years.
