Mouser Electronics To Sponsor And Provide Scholarships for IEEE Blended Learning Program in VLSI

IEEE, the world’s largest professional organization advancing technology for humanity, has announced that Mouser Electronics, Basic RGBthe global authorized distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, has become a sponsor of the IEEE Blended Learning Program (BLP) in VLSI. Mouser’s sponsorship of this program includes scholarships for deserving engineering students in India.

IEEE Blended Learning Program supports undergraduate and postgraduate students from various universities across India studying Electronics and Communication Engineering with the goal of transforming students into industry-ready professionals for the semiconductor industry. The program employs a highly interactive, performance-based e-learning approach that reinforces core concepts through various stages of self-driven learning, practice sessions, and assessments. This engaging online learning is coupled with highly effective, hands-on applied training through extensive project work in instructor-led labs.

The opportunity to partner with IEEE Blended Learning Program (BLP) will allow Mouser to play a direct role in advancing this program’s mission by offering scholarships for engineering students. Mouser is committed to offering up to 300 scholarships per year under the sponsorship program, covering a substantial portion of the student’s course fee.

‘’We are excited to offer these scholarship opportunities and help prepare engineering students from various universities across India to excel in a career in the electronics industry. Mouser was founded by a physics instructor, Jerry Mouser, who needed components for a newly formed electronics program at his school. That founding idea is still at the heart of our company. We are the go-to source for instructors and future engineers who need a vast selection of quality products, as well as the latest technology trends, design topics, and industry observations for learning and inspiration’’, said Mark Burr-Lonnon, Senior Vice President of APAC & EMEA at Mouser Electronics.

“This partnership with Mouser Electronics aligns well with the goals of the IEEE Blended Learning Program – providing students with the necessary application-oriented training of the VLSI design and help increase the availability of skilled engineers for the rapidly growing Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector in India”, said David Goldstein, Lead Director New Product Development at IEEE. “We are elated to be working with Mouser, as the success of many of the engineering students depends on their generous support.”

IEEE Blended Learning Program scholarships are awarded to deserving students who are pursuing undergraduate/postgraduate studies in an accredited university in the fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
