Moto Z2 benchmarks reveal processor and RAM details

After Moto Z2 Play , it seems that Lenovo-owned Motorola is all set to launch its flagship Moto Z2 smartphone as well. The alleged handset has been spotted on GeekBench benchmarking website, providing some hint about its specifications.
Based on the listing, Moto Z2 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. This also means that the smartphone will get Android O sometime later this year or early next year. It’s also been mentioned that the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM.
Like its predecessor, the Moto Z2 may also come in two internal storage variants and have microSD card support. According to previous leaks and rumours, it’ll likely have a similar design as the Moto Z.
This means that the big camera hump and POGO pin connectors for the mods will make their return as well. A front-mounted fingerprint sensor below the display is also expected.
An image posted online recently hints that Moto Z2 could have a dual camera setup at the back. If true, Moto Z2 would be the first Motorola smartphone to have a dual rear camera setup. Display resolution, camera, battery and other aspects could see a major overhaul as well.
For now, Motorola has launched its Moto Z2 Play smartphone in India at a price of Rs 27,999. Some new Moto Mods have also been announced alongside the device. It will go on sale on Flipkart (online exclusive) and in retail stores across the country from June 15. Pre-orders for the smartphone are live from today and will continue till June 14.
Some of the key specifications of the Moto Z2 Play are a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and 3,000mAh battery.
