Moto E5 image leaked online, shows rear fingerprint scanner

The general trend in the smartphone market is that most brands launch certain devices at a particular time every year. Like Motorola launched its E4 smartphone in June last year and it’s expected that its successor E5 could very well arrive in June this year. That, however, doesn’t mean it can’t surface online six months ahead of the expected launch.
Mysmartprice website has leaked an image of the successor of Moto E4, expected to be called the Moto E5, giving the first look of how the device may look like. The handset is of Gold colour variant and the company is expected to launch more options as well.
The Moto E5 comes in a metallic frame and the main revelation is that the handset now shows no physical Home Button on the front, which has been a trademark for the Moto series handsets. Thus, the smartphone is expected to sport a fingerprint sensor at the rear, merging with the Moto logo. The rear also has a single camera and an LED flash housed in a circular protruding rim. On the front, the handset shows the standard 16:9 display ratio and navigation buttons. The report did not shed any light on the specifications of the upcoming handset.
This year’s Motorola’s entry-level series smartphone, Moto E4 Plus, recently came in news when the device started selling on Amazon. The smartphone, which was Flipkart exclusive till now is now available on its rival Amazon India. The Moto E4 and E4 Plus are the fourth installments of the entry-level smartphones that Motorola launches every year. At the time of the launch, the Moto E4 was priced at Rs 8,499 and the Moto E4 Plus was priced at Rs 9,999. As of now, the Moto E4 Plus is selling at the same price but the Moto E4 is selling at Rs 7,945. Another Motorola handset to recently undergo a price cut is the Moto G5S Plus. Launched in India in August at Rs 15,999, the Moto G5S Plus smartphone has got a price cut of Rs 1,000, making its price Rs 14,999.
