Microsoft Unveils AI-Enhanced Features in Latest Windows 11 Insider Preview

Microsoft has rolled out a new Windows 11 Insider Preview build, introducing significant AI-powered upgrades to the Paint app and Windows Search. This update, labeled build 26120.3073, is currently available to Windows Insider users in the Canary and Dev channels. Among the most exciting features in this build is the addition of a Copilot menu in Microsoft Paint, which consolidates several AI tools into one interface. These include Cocreator, Image Creator, Generative Erase, and Remove Background—all aimed at enhancing the creative experience. Notably, the Cocreator tool is exclusive to Copilot+ PCs, underscoring Microsoft’s focus on integrating advanced AI capabilities into its flagship devices.

Another key update is the improvement of Windows Search with expanded semantic indexing, allowing users to locate files stored in OneDrive using more intuitive, natural language descriptions. This means users can now search for documents by describing them in everyday language, rather than relying on specific file names or metadata. Similar to the Paint app upgrade, this feature is also exclusive to Copilot+ PCs for the time being.

These updates highlight Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to integrate artificial intelligence more deeply into Windows 11, streamlining creative and productivity tasks for users. While these features are still in the preview phase, Microsoft has yet to announce an official timeline for their global rollout. However, this move signals a broader trend toward making AI-driven experiences more accessible and intuitive across the Windows ecosystem.

Stay tuned for further updates, as Microsoft continues to innovate with new AI-powered experiences for its users!
