Microsoft brings DALL-E 2-powered Designer to teams

Microsoft Teams users now have the ability to utilize Designer, an AI-driven tool that generates artwork within the video-conferencing app itself. This feature, currently in preview on Windows 11, allows users to create designs for presentations, posters, and digital postcards by inputting text prompts or uploading images.

Powered by OpenAI’s DALL-E 2 text-to-image AI, Designer offers customization options through drop-down menus and text boxes. Microsoft aims to monetize Designer through its Microsoft 365 subscriptions, although specific pricing details have not been disclosed.

Additionally, Microsoft has introduced community channels for group-wide communication and management within Teams, and users can now make Teams calls directly from the GroupMe messaging app.
