Microsoft Announced Nokia 215 & Nokia 215 Dual SIM

A few Nokia phones are still left in the stock of Microsoft, and that too some Nokiafeature phones. The Redmond giant has announced that they will release these Nokia phones, Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual SIM, at reasonable prices with ready Internet.

Microsoft has also announced that both the Nokia devices will be first made available in regions like Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe in the first quarter of 2015. Select markets will get the handsets for sale at $29 or Rs 1,838 approximately. These Nokia devices have mostly common specifications, except that Nokia 215 Dual SIM supports double SIM, obviously. Both the devices can use Micro SIM only.

Both Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual SIM feature a 7-cm (2.4-inch) LCD display and their storage can be expanded to 32GB via a microSD card too. A 1100mAh removable battery is packed inside the device. Nokia 215 offers standby time up to 29 days and 20 hours talktime on 2G networks. On the other hand, the dual SIM variant offers 21 days standby time and 20 hours talktime on 2G networks. The handsets have a camera too of 0.3MP and they run on Series 30+ OS. The handsets also support Bluetooth 3.0, GPRS and micro-USB.

Opera Mini Browser and Bing Search are offered in both the devices by default. A torchlight is built in the phones and they support stereo FM too. The feature phones will be available in three colour variants – Bright Green, Black and White. In the Lumia Conversations blog the company has posted thus, “2015 will be the year the world gets (even more) connected. For only $29, the new Nokia 215 helps Microsoft connect the next billion to the Internet for the first time.”
