25,000 units of Micromax’s Yu Yureka smartphone will be made available on Thursday in the tenth flash sale that kicks off at 2pm IST on Amazon India for registered users. Yu announced the number of units going on sale in a tweet on Wednesday.

The company said, “Opportunity knocks again, 25000 Yurekas go on sale tomorrow. Don’t forget to login to at 2pm (IST).”

The last sale also saw 25,000 Yu Yureka smartphones made available to purchase, and go out of stock in six seconds. Prior to this, the eighth sale saw 30,000 smartphones going out of stock in seven seconds while the seventh flash sale saw the same number of units going out of stock in six seconds.

15,000 units went out of stock in four seconds in the sixth flash sale while the fifth sale saw 25,000 units go out of stock in four seconds. The third sale saw 10,000 units and fourth sale saw 15,000 units going out of stock in three seconds and four seconds respectively.

Recently, Yu Televentures, a subsidiary of Micromax, confirmed the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Yureka smartphone would roll out soon. The company shared a connect-the-dots image of a lollipop, and with the last dot numbered 26, hinting at March 26 as the release date for the Android 5.0 update.

Priced at Rs. 8,999, Micromax’s Yu Yureka (Review | Pictures) offers some rather impressive specifications at the price. The dual-SIM smartphone features Cat. 4 4G LTE connectivity, and runs Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. It bears a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3; a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC (MSM8939); an Adreno 405 GPU; 2GB of RAM; a 13-megapixel Sony Exmor CMOS sensor rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and flash; a front-facing 5-megapixel fixed-focus camera; 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB), and a 2500mAh Li-Po battery.
