Micromax’s ‘Next Smart Thing’ Is A Canvas Laptab

Earlier this month Micromax had revealed its strategy to Micromax_laptopdevelop its business and introduce a new product line. While tech buffs were speculating what the Micromax’s next smart thing would be, the pocket-friendly Android smartphones manufacturer has entered the laptop-tablet hybrid market with its Micromax Canvas Laptab.

Micromax introduces Canvas Laptab which comes with a 26-cm (10.1-inch) IPS display and a WXGA (1280×800 pixels) resolution. The convertible laptop has 2GB of DDR3L RAM and a 32GB ROM which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

Powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor, it runs on Windows 8.1 with Bing and is also upgradable to Windows 10 OS. The device sports a 2-megapixel rear and front-facing camera and a 7700mAh battery, which is rated to offer a usage time of 10 hours. It measures 210.8×124.2×9.95mm, and weighs 1.1kgs. Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB and 3G and offers one year of free subscription for Microsoft Office 365 Personal apps. Priced at Rs. 14,999, the 2-in-1 device will be available from May 6 exclusively on Amazon Indiain in Black colour variant only.
