Micromax Launches Two Budget Smartphones In India

Sunday, June 22, 2014: Homegrown smartphone maker Micromax has launched two new Android smartphones in the country. The company has started selling the Micromax Canvas Beat and Micromax Canvas Unite A092 smartphones online. The Canvas Beat had been originally introduced in Russia earlier this year, while the Unite was spotted on Micromax’s website some days ago.
On the specifications front, the Micromax Canvas Beat has a 12.7-cm (5-inch) qHD IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Broadcom BCM23550 processor along with 1 GB of RAM and the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The device has a 1,900 mAh battery along with 4 GB of internal memory and a micro-SD card slot. The device also offers dual-SIM support and the usual connectivity options. Micromax has also added an 8 mega pixel rear camera along with a 2 mega pixel front snapper. It is priced at Rs 9,499 on Homeshop18.

On the other hand, the Unite A092 has support for 20 Indian languages and English. The device boasts a 10.16-cm (4-inch) WVGA display along with the 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8212 quad core processor and the Android 4.3 operating system. It also has a 5 mega pixel rear camera along with a VGA front shooter. It has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage along with the micro-SD card slot and 3G or dual-SIM support. There are also WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options that are present on A092. The device is priced at Rs 6,499 on Flipkart and can be obtained in White and Black colour options.
