Micromax Canvas lapbook L1160 laptop Now Available @ Rs 10,499

Micromax has added yet another entry-level laptop to its Lapbook series with the launch of the Canvas Lapbook L1160. Made in association with Microsoft and Intel, the L1160 is priced at Rs 10,499. The laptop will be available exclusively on Amazon India starting May 4.

Micromax Canvas LapBook L1160 has an 11.6-inch non-detachable display with 1366×768 pixels resolution, The device runs on Windows 10 operating system and is powered by an Intel Atom Quad-core processor clocked at 1.83GHz.

The laptop comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB eMMC flash storage which can be further expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card. On connectivity front, there are two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, one Ethernet port, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios. The L1160 weighs 1.13kg and is backed by a 4,100 mAh battery.

Recently, the company also announced a complete overhaul of its market strategy, in order to combat slowed growth in the smartphone sector. Although originally a smartphone brand, the company has slowly expanded its focus to products as diverse as tablets, PCs, LED TVs and laptops.

Micromax is also looking forward to increasing domestic production in order to lessen its reliance on imports, part of its ‘Make in India’ strategy.
