Meta and LG have joined forces to develop a mixed-reality headset that might be released in 2025

Meta launched the Quest Pro VR headsets in 2022, featuring an advanced Snapdragon chip, touch controllers, and embedded sensors.

Recent reports suggest that Meta is partnering with LG Electronics to create a new mixed-reality headset, aiming to compete with Apple’s Vision Pro AR headset, set to release in early 2024.

Meta is expected to launch a budget-friendly VR/AR model for under $200 in 2024, while the premium LG collaboration model is slated for a 2025 release.

The potential name for this headset is speculated to be ‘Meta Quest 4 Pro.’ LG Electronics has shown interest in mixed reality technology, as evidenced by a patent application in 2019, although it’s too early to confirm its connection to this collaboration.
