Meizu MX5e has a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display powered by is an octa-core MediaTek processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM and 16GB ROM. It flaunts a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and packs a 3,150 mAh battery.

Meizu has launched a new variant of its last year MEIZUintroduced MX5 smartphone. The Meizu MX5e is priced at CNY 1,699 and is presently listed on the company store. The device is the toned down version of the Meizu MX5 and the company has not yet revealed any details about its availability.

On the specifications front, the Meizu MX5e has a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Powering the smartphone is an octa-core MediaTek processor clocked at 2.2GHz clubbed with 3GB of RAM. The device has 16GB of internal storage.

The smartphone comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing snapper for clicking selfies. The connectivity options of the device include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The handset houses a 3,150 mAh battery.

According to a report Meizu is also working on a smartphone with 6GB RAM. According to a Chinese website MyDrivers, Meizu’s next flagship, touted as Pro 6, will come in two variants- 4GB RAM+ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.

The report also claimed that the smartphone will feature a display similar to that of the earlier Pro 5. It will run Samsung’s Exynos 8890 processor, which powers the Galaxy S7. It is expected to run the latest Android version with Flyme UI.
