lg g3 global launch backLG might have been busy pushing its recently launched flagship G3 smartphone globally. However, a new listing on an Indian import/ export site suggests that the South Korean giant might be already working on the mini-variant of the LG G3. Notably, the company had unveiled the mini-variant of the LG G2, the LG G2 mini, only at MWC this year.

A LG handset with model number “LGD722” has been spotted, first noted by My LG Phones, at Indian import/ export site Zauba, which track imports and exports from certain companies to and from India.

The Zauba listing for the LGD722 suggests that the alleged LG G3 mini will have a smaller 4.5-inch display than the original LG G3 at 5.5-inch, and similar to the LG G2 mini. Other specifications of the alleged LG G3 mini include a 1.2GHz quad-core processor; HD display; 8GB inbuilt storage (no word on expandable storage); 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 2100mAh battery.

The report further lists the model number of the rumoured LG G3 according to the regions, which include – LGD722 for European markets; LGD722K for Taiwan; LGD725 for AT&T; LGD724 for CIS markets, and LGD728 for the China Mobile LTE. As of now, there are not many details about the alleged LG G3 mini release.

In late May, LG launched its new G3 flagship smartphone at simultaneous events in New York, London, and San Francisco.

The LG G3, running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a single-SIM configuration, bears a 5.5-inch AH-IPS LCD QHD (1440×2560 pixel) display with a staggering pixel density of 538ppi.

The G3 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.46GHz, featuring 2GB of RAM for its 16GB built-in storage variant, and 3GB of RAM for its 32GB variant. It features storage expansion via microSD card (up to 128GB).

The G3 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS+, dual-LED flash and a laser auto focusing sensor, while also includes a front-facing 2.1-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, and a selfie mode. The LG G3 is powered by a 3000mAh removable battery, and features wireless charging support.
