lg g watch official website features screenshotLG has detailed a few features of its upcoming G Watch smartwatch, which was first introduced alongside Android Wear in March, on the company’s dedicated website for the wearable device.

The website provides plenty of images of two LG G Watch colour variants – Stealth Black and Champagne Gold – along with some features. Outside the two colour schemes (only the Stealth Black variant had been revealed till date), the LG G Watch relies on Android Wear, the new OS powered by Google for wearables.

Users can “get stuff done” by saying “OK, Google” followed by voice-commands. Besides its dust and water-resistance, LG flaunts the G Watch’s screen, which never sleeps and is always-on.

The images show the LG G Watch, which was first announced in March, to sport maps, reminders and more functions, details of which are yet to be revealed. LG also refrained from mentioning any hardware specifications of the wrist-gear on the G Watch website. However, since the smartwatch is being said to hit the shelves in Q2 of this year, one would not have to wait for leaks and rumours anymore for its specs.

The LG G Watch smartwatch runs on 512MB of RAM and includes 4GB of internal storage. A 1.65-inch screen with a 280×280 pixel resolution has also been specified.

Motorola is also prepping up its Moto 360 smartwatch, which runs on the same Android Wear OS. The Moto 360 will sport a 1.8-inch diameter screen, auto-orientation for ambidexterity, a stainless steel and water resistant build, support for gesture and voice input, no camera, support for smartphones running Android 4.3 or newer versions, and heavy Google Now integration. Both smartwatches were teased previously in March with new images.
