LG Action Cam LTE Streaming Ready Action Camera Goes On Sale

Introduced in May, LG has made its LG Action CAM LTE available to users, starting with its home country South LG-Action-Cam-LTEKorea. The camera, as per the company, offers robust features letting users record videos in dynamic environments and stream it directly on the web.

The Action CAM LTE is IP67 rated, making it water and dust resistant. It can be immersed into water of up to 1 metre depth. The camera comes along with a mount and is compatible with most of the other third-party action camera mounts and accessories.

Users can also download the images and videos captured by the LG Action CAM LTE on their smartphones by downloading the Action CAM LTE app via Google Play. The device, as per the South Korean tech giant, can record up to 3 hours of Full HD resolution videos on smartphones running Android 5.0, iOS 9 or later versions. It can additionally work as a CCTV camera, shooting all the content on the user’s smartphones.

As for the specifications, the LG Action CAM LTE features a 12.3MP sensor with 150 degree wide angle lens. Besides supporting 4G LTE, the device also features Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth 4.1. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 along with 2GB RAM, the LG Action CAM LTE can support microSD card up to 2TB.

Apart from being able to live stream HD video at 30fps, the LG Action CAM LTE can also record videos in multiple resolutions — HD (120fps), Full HD (60fps) and Ultra HD (30fps).

The action camera has a 1400mAh battery which is good enough for recording Full HD videos for up to four hours. The company has not revealed the price or its availability outside South Korea just yet.

Following the lead of GoPro, one of the most popular name in action cameras, a lot of manufacturers have forayed into the field. Sony also unveiled its action camera at CES this year.
