Lenovo Unveiled A6000 Smartphone During The CES 2015

Lenovo has unveiled its budget A6000 smartphone during the CES 2015. The company had announced that the smartphone will be launched in India via its exclusive online partner, Flipkart. The Lenovo A6000 is priced at $169 (approx Rs. 10,500), whereas Flipkart price has been marked as below Rs. 10,000 in India.

Lenovo A6000Since the company has released the smartphone in competition to already existing Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Micromax’s Yu Yureka smartphones in the country, it is expected that it may get priced as low as Rs. 8,999 in India. However the company by now has not revealed the exact launch date of the device.

Notably, as per the Lenovo spokesperson, the A6000 variant released during the CES 2015 doesn’t come with the 2300MHz Band 40 (TDD-LTE) which is used by India’s 4G networks. But to give a strong competition to the above mentioned smartphones, the company may launch the Indian variant with the aforesaid feature.

To talk about the smartphone’s specs, the Lenovo A6000 packs a 12.7-cm (5-inch) HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display. It is dual-SIM device, both with the Micro-SIM slots. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) clocked at 1.2GHz alongside 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Vibe UI 2.0 skin on top.

The device comes with an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera. It is backed by a 2300mAh battery, which as per the company is capable of delivering up to13 hours of talk time and up to 264 hours of standby time on 3G network. The device measures 141x70x8.2mm and weighs 128 grams.
