Lava Z60 smartphone spotted on Geekbench, to launch later this year


Domestic smartphone maker Lava is likely working on a new smartphone. Expected to be dubbed Z60, the handset has been spotted on Geek bench bench marking website.
As per the listing, the Z60 scored 444 points in single-core performance and 1243 points in the multi-core performance. The smartphone is listed as being powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.
The smartphone is expected to launch later this year, and could be priced between Rs 5,999 and Rs 7,999.
Earlier today, Lava launched its budget smartphone A93 in India at Rs 7,999. Backed by a 3,000mAh battery, Lava A93 will most likely go against budget smartphones such as Moto C Plus, In Focus Turbo 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 4.
Lava A93 features a 5.5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Powering the smartphone is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards of 32GB in size.du
For imaging duties, the A93 has an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing shooter, each with an LED flash. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone doesn’t support 4G, which could be a downer.
