Kaspersky Lab used this platform to create awareness about security concerns faced by the SMB sector and the growing complexities that have increased in the recent times owing to the adoption of new technology platforms, devices and applications. Kaspersky Lab focused on sharing critical analysis of data lost due to cyber attacks across the globe with real-time examples making enterprises aware of its consequences and explained about appropriate solutions from Kaspersky Lab to counter such threats.

“This was also an opportunity to establish connect with the channel community as in each city we partnered with a performing reseller so that the fresh accounts can be locked for the reseller. This was our way of recognizing our resellers by providing them with leads that can be followed upon,” said Altaf Halde, Managing Director, Kaspersky Lab – South Asia.

He further added “We received an overwhelming response to the SMB’s and mid-level enterprise outreach campaign. It served as a right platform to showcase our solutions, services and distribution network of our partners. This has also helped create awareness of cyber threat and inculcate the need for security at every stage. Such outreach is very essential and critical at this juncture since we are looking at a steadily increasing our SMB footprint in the endpoint security space.”

Harish Rai, Country Manager, Comguard Infosol said: “In current security scenario, awareness is key to every challenge. However, we witness that people are not well informed about cyber threats. They look for solution only when the damage is done. This has been resulting into major data losses, worth in millions. Our 30-city drive was an initiative to get to the bottom of the scenario and educate the enterprises. We are overwhelmed with the response and it has proved beneficial.”
