Jaipur to Host Landmark 10th TiE Global Summit in Historic First for Tier-2 Cities

In a historic move for India’s entrepreneurial landscape, the “Pink City” of Jaipur has been selected to host the Rajasthan DigiFest × TiE Global Summit (TGS) 2026. Scheduled from January 4–6 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), this marks the first time the prestigious global summit will be held in a non-metro location. The event signals a significant shift in India’s innovation narrative, highlighting the rise of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities as the new frontiers of the digital economy.

A Global Gathering of Innovation

The three-day summit is expected to attract a massive audience, including over 10,000 entrepreneurs and 500 global investors. For startup founders, the event represents a massive opportunity to scale, with projections suggesting the summit could unlock more than $20 million (approximately ₹200 crore) in potential investment.

The agenda is designed to be high-octane, featuring:

  • The TGS 100 Challenge: A competition to spotlight India’s most investable startups.

  • Global Finals: Hosting the finale for both TiE Women and TiE University, drawing talent from across the globe.

  • Pitch Stages: Around 170 startups will present innovations in Deep Tech, AI, Agritech, and Media-tech.

Rajasthan: The Next Silicon Hub?

Rajasthan is currently entering a “hockey-stick” growth phase. Under the state-backed iStart Rajasthan initiative, the region already boasts over 7,100 registered ventures that have generated 42,500 jobs. With a robust digital backbone including widespread fiber-to-home connectivity and modern incubation centers in cities like Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Kota, the state offers a high-impact environment with low operating costs.

Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed confidence that the summit would establish Rajasthan on the global innovation map, acting as a catalyst for investment and cross-border collaboration.

Star-Studded Insights

The summit features a diverse lineup of over 100 speakers from 30 countries. Notable figures include:

  • Smriti Zubin Irani (Former Union Cabinet Minister)

  • Amit Jain (Co-founder of CarDekho)

  • Alex Osterwalder (Renowned business strategist)

  • Ricky Kej (Grammy-winning composer)

Strategic Importance

Following the success of the 9th edition in Bengaluru and Mysuru, the move to Jaipur underscores the decentralization of Indian tech. As internet penetration in Rajasthan is expected to hit 63% by 2025, the state is uniquely positioned to support the next wave of tech-driven disruption.

By bringing together policy expertise, venture capital, and grassroots innovation, the TiE Global Summit 2026 is set to transform Jaipur from a tourism hotbed into a global nerve center for entrepreneurship.
