Intex Introduces Free Calling App In Its Device

Intex Technologies has apparently joined hands with a Nanu_IntexSingapore based mobile application firm to introduce a free calling app in its devices. Named as Nanu, the calling app would come entrenched in two Intex smartphones which would be launched in July.

Nanu has been developed by Gentay Communications. According to Martin Nygate, CEO, Gentay Communications, the application would subsidies cost through targeted advertising on ring tones of dialers. Especially designed for 2G areas, it is all set to open a market of millions of rural folks. Nanu has already been downloaded by 1.5 million subscribers in India and has the global user base of 2.2 million subscribers.

Nygate further said that India is their biggest market and confirmed that they have collaborated with Intex to release it through two new smartphones. Through nanu, users can make free domestic and international calls, even to non-nanu users.

Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, business head of mobiles, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd. believes that embedding nanu will not only draw more customers but also transform the market. The new phones with nanu will help Intex further differentiate themselves from their competitors.
